Hamilton Lodge is on Felmoor Country Park which is a beautiful park in the heart of Northumberland and lies centrally between Morpeth and Alnwick. There is a club house and restaurant on site, but no shop so you will need to take groceries with you.?The nearest shops are in Morpeth or Alnwick. Guests are welcome to use the facilities on the park next door, accessible over a footbridge, including a fabulous pirate ship play area.

The closest beach provides you with miles and miles of golden sand where your dogs can run free too and is just about 15 mins drive.

A mile down the road is the fabulous Northumberland Zoo, go check out the beautiful Snow Leopards! A mile the other way takes you to Eshott Airfield, open to the public with a great viewing area and cafe.

The home of Harry Potter is just up the road, in Alnwick Castle, along with what's thought to be the worlds biggest play structure, Lilidorei.

There are many other fabulous castles to explore along the coast including Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Chillingham, Warkworth.

There are villages that will delight and surprise you and gorgeous pubs, restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy some true Northumbrian hospitality.

There are lots of activities within a short driving distance such as horse-riding, golf, cinemas, theatres, swimming pools and much, much more for the whole family to enjoy.

The caravan was very well equipped and felt private. Unfortunately the cleaners did not do a good job, we had to wash the mugs, the cutlery was filthy as was the actual drawer, the kitchen floor was dirty as was the tablecand all the place mats. There was dog hairs and dead flies in the corner by the sofas. Once we had thoroughly cleaned the kitchen ( washed everything) we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The onside pub was goid and food reasonably priced. The whole booking experience was great with lots of contact before arrival.

The lodge is situated near the on site pub/restaurant and looks onto a grassed and wooded area which is very private and gets the sun all day. The decking area is spacious with lovely comfortable seating and a hot tub. A lovely lodge overall if a bit smaller than the standard lodges, The lodge has everything you could need, the only thing I would suggest is a few more clothes hangers in the wardrobes. Overall a very relaxing enjoyable stay.
