Another amazing stay with the family. Lodge is gorgeous and the view is amazing, especially from the hot tub. This was our third stay and we will be booking again for next year

Nice Log Cabin by Andrew Allen

Gingerbread is quite a new log cabin. The layout is good and there’s plenty of space. Full kitchen with dishwasher. Hot tub was nice and checked every day. Great quiet location next to the lake. Also nice little welcome pack with treats (biscuits/crisps) and a bottle of fizzy which we drank in the hot tub, bubbles with bubbles. There are few bits on the cabin that need to be addressed (leaking gutter, outside lights that don’t go off) and also a few areas that could improve the experience with little cost such as putting up additional hangers/coat hooks in the bathroom / bedrooms and an airer would be helpful especially for towels when you’ve been in the hot tub. Also bathroom towel rail would benefit from having an electric option so you don’t have to put all the heating on to dry towels. Overall a nice place though.

We have stayed at Gingerbread twice now, it is such a relaxing retreat. Close to many areas of beauty and places to visit but if you just want to stay in, the hot tub is a great bonus. We will be going again.
